Our parent company was founded in 1972 the way that most people get their businesses going, you just leverage everything you own and borrow from whom ever you can and work 80 hours a week breaking ground to realize your dream. Your systems are pretty much a gut feeling and your primary education is trial and error. We have learned so much over the years and since that time we have built strong foundations, established proven systems, developed a competent management team, formed distribution channels, and acquired many assets. We have spun off several companies and literally have developed hundreds of products. It’s amazing how much easier it is to start a new venture when you have established resources to tap into. I looked back at a company that we started about 6 years ago and realized that unless I had a major investor or just won the lottery, the odds of that business getting off the ground would have been highly unlikely. It was being able to utilize those proven methods and systems and having access to existing resources and tools that made it possible to find success.
I have seen so many people that had an idea and maybe even gotten a patent but it just sits there gathering dust. I have met others that got their idea off the ground and into the market but seemed to have reached a plateau and either the commitment or the risk of getting it to the next level is just too much so it just sits there hovering.
We have a saying around here, "ideas are worth $1 but implementing it can be worth millions." SMT Integrated Systems was formed so that we could offer our clients that same opportunity and tap into those strengths and resources that they need to hit their goals.
A wise man once told me that in order to get what you want you need to help others get what they want or a fancier way to say that is "to promote purposeful and mutual growth." That is our purpose.
Sincerely,
Keith LeCleir
